Booz Allen Hamilton looks for an information security risk specialist to help DoD clients assess cyber risk, review RMF packages, and guide authorities to actionable plans. You will translate complex security concepts into practical recommendations and support accreditation through eMASS, policies, and control documentation.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of RMF experience, knowledge of NIST 5 controls, and hands-on ACAS/STIG evaluations, with strong communication and a security-focused mindset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD RMF accreditation efforts for enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience managing RMF accreditation packages from initial accreditation to ATO maintenance.
  • Experience reviewing and assessing compliance with NIST Revision 5 security controls.
  • Experience evaluating system security reports from ACAS scans and STIG evaluations.
  • Experience generating and managing security control evaluations and eMASS artifacts.

The answer is you—an information security risk spe cia list who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As an information security risk spe cia list on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with commands support Naval operations to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies , and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical and personnel details from technical and cybersecurity SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their operational data and supporting systems This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in cybersecurity for cloud systems, large data and HPC environments, and scientific data systems.

You Have:

5+ years of experience supporting DoD RMF accreditation efforts for enterprise IT systems

Experience managing the lifecycle of RMF accreditation package from initial accreditation or full re-accreditation through satisfactory reception of Authority-to-Operate ( ATO ) and follow-on ATO maintenance through continuous monitoring

Experience reviewing and assessing compliance with NIST Revision 5 security controls

Experience utilizing and evaluating reporting from system security evaluations and scans based on ACAS automated scans and manual and automated STIG evaluations

Experience generating and managing security control evaluations, control family policy documentation, and security documents and artifacts within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service ( eMASS ) system

HS diploma or GED

DoD Intermediate ISSM CWF Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE Certification OR Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
