Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Reverse Engineer to join our Aberdeen Proving Ground team on-site in MD. You will analyze and evaluate applications, contribute to the development of new technologies, and grow professionally within a collaborative, security-focused environment.

Candidates should hold an active Secret Clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI) and US citizenship, with a BS/BA and experience in Linux, cryptography, and programming in Python/Java/C/C++.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US Citizenship.
• 2 years of experience with BS/BA; MS/MA not required.
• Ability to learn and grow as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Passion for solving puzzles and curiosity for how digital systems work.
• Experience working in a Linux OS environment.
• Basic knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic systems.
• Experience with a programming language, such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communications, with ability to articulate technical questions and findings.
• Understanding of software architecture and software development best practices.
• Experience with binary analysis or reverse engineering.
• Experience with tools such as Ghidra, Binary Ninja, IDA, JADX, x64dbg, or GDB.

Responsibilities

• As a Reverse Engineer, you'll contribute to a team that works hands on with state-of-the-art UAS electronics and systems.
• You'll perform basic analysis and evaluation of applications in support of the team's work on new technologies and your own professional growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to apply cutting-edge tech in government and commercial projects.
• Maintain and improve knowledge of security and software practices within a fast-paced lab setting.
