Job summary

Shulman Fleming & Partners in New York City is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cyber security initiatives within the Transformation and Delivery Office guidelines. You will coordinate and deliver complex programs across multiple teams, ensuring governance and appropriate security controls.

The role requires strong Excel/VLOOKUP, presentation and reporting skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders and third-party resources in a hybrid NYC setting.

Qualifications

  • Strong Project Manager experience with track record of delivering major cross-functional initiatives, including cyber security and technology risk programs.
  • Experience with governance, documentation, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Proven ability to structure initiatives, lead planning, and drive delivery across large organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of cyber security initiatives through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning to delivery.
  • Collaborate across Information Security, IT Risk, and Compliance to structure end-to-end project efforts.
  • Ensure end state includes governance, business process redesign, and appropriate controls.
  • Manage weekly status reporting and RAID log; run weekly working groups to support delivery.
  • Coordinate UAT and security validation testing, including defect management in JIRA.
  • Provide updates to senior management, the CISO organization, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee program and project resources, including third-party providers.

Salary up to $160k

In this role you will be responsible for managing the assigned cyber security-related projects, following the Transformation and Delivery Office guidelines within the determined timeline. You will be in a group with 2 others but also work with 10-15 people in different organizations. You will be required to have strong Excel, VLOOKUP, CoPilot, be able to do presentations, manipulate data, reporting, and PowerPoint. Experience running programs, doing governance, documentation, and working on coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution of cyber security initiatives through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning to delivery, including development of target state security processes, build and adoption of technology and security solutions
  • Work across multiple functions and legal entities, including Information Security, IT Risk, and Compliance, to structure and manage end-to-end project efforts through deep understanding of requirements, technologies, cross-functional impact, and business strategy
  • Ensure target end state is delivered inclusive of required governance, business process redesign, and appropriate cyber security and technology controls
  • Manage weekly status reporting, understand and maintain program’s RAID log, run daily and/or weekly working groups to support successful program delivery
  • Coordinate all activities and dependencies of UAT and security validation testing to ensure successful acceptance by business and security owners, including defect management and reporting in JIRA
  • Provide appropriate information share and updates with senior management, the CISO organization, and other key stakeholders
  • Oversight of program and project level resources including those provided by 3rd party providers

Requirements:

  • Strong Project Manager experience with track record of delivery of major cross functional initiatives, including cyber security and technology risk programs, at large and complex financial institutions. This includes how to structure initiatives, project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Good understanding of cyber security domains (e.g., Threat and Vulnerability management, security operations, data protection, Identity and Access Management, Security Governance), as well as finance, risk, operations, and data processes and the technologies enabling them
  • Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including experience at performing this across multiple functions
  • Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
  • Solid knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools
