Job summary

Capital One is seeking a product owner to help deliver game-changing cybersecurity solutions based on threat, data, and design thinking. You will collaborate with engineering teams to translate security strategy into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria.

Based in Plano, TX, you’ll lead backlog refinement, pair with Product Manager and Solution Architects, and drive secure, resilient software delivery across multi-cloud environments while advancing key SAFe ceremonies and metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6 years of experience cybersecurity/IT.
• At least 4 years in Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• At least 4 years in product management.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; multiple security certifications valued.
• 3+ years in scaled agile product management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the delivery roadmap to technology teams via product vision.
• Articulate target persona, customer benefit, and feature value.
• Backlog refinement with cyber and customer focus; document epics and stories.
• Lead Agile/SAFe ceremonies and collaborate with Product Manager, Engineering, and Solution Architects.
• Drive data-driven insights to improve security, resilience, and performance.
• Support teams through impediments and escalate when needed.
