Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Cybersecurity Product Owner to lead end-to-end product lifecycles across security domains. Collaborate with SOC, data science, and engineering to embed security into AI/ML pipelines and translate strategy into actionable delivery plans.

You will manage backlogs in Jira/SAFe, balance capabilities with risk, and drive adoption metrics, while guiding stakeholders and customers on feature roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cybersecurity or IT
• 2+ years in digital product management

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete lifecycle of core cybersecurity products across multiple domains

• Use analytics and telemetry to measure adoption, ROI, and delivery health
• Translate vision into development objectives and delivery plans
• Provide customer-informed guidance to shape features

Job description

• Lead the complete lifecycle—discovery, vision, delivery, and adoption—of core cybersecurity products across multiple technical security domains
• Partner with SOC and threat detection teams to advance telemetry collection, log analytics, and threat-hunting capabilities
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to integrate security controls, guardrails, and risk mitigations into AI/ML development pipelines
• Manage, groom, and prioritize the product backlog in Jira/SAFe environments
• Balance new capabilities, operational risk reduction, technical debt, and system reliability
• Bridge executive leadership, compliance, engineering, and software development teams to drive security integration into everyday workflows
• Use analytics, telemetry metrics, and internal developer feedback to measure product adoption, threat-reduction ROI, and continuous delivery health
• Drive product vision into development teams and translate vision into delivery objectives
• Provide customer-informed guidance to shape products and deliver sustainable features
• Apply cybersecurity and systems engineering expertise to improve cyber capabilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 4 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology
• At least 2 years of experience in digital product management
• No new employment authorization sponsorship or immigration-related support
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into products
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Cyber Product Owner
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in technical writing
• Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on JIRA experience
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience with a major cloud-based or on-prem SIEM product
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience with SOAR platforms
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience working with the SOC team to translate and prioritize requirements
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in scaled agile product management
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in regulated financial services organizations or tech companies
• Preferred: 2 or more professional certifications (SAFe PM/PO, CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Security)
