Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is hiring a Cyber Platforms Software Engineer, Lead, to drive production software across backend, data, and front-end layers. You will lead a small team, guide architecture, and deliver new capabilities from concept to deployed product in dynamic cyber environments.

You will apply AI and analytics to streamline analyst workflows, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and influence design decisions for scalable, secure systems in enterprise settings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience delivering production software.
• 3+ years building backend services, APIs, data workflows, or platform components with Python.
• 2+ years building frontend applications with modern frontend frameworks.
• 2+ years with Docker or Kubernetes, containers, and reproducible development/deployment workflows.
• 2+ years deploying/operating software on AWS or comparable cloud.
• 2+ years designing production software systems with service boundaries and data flows.
• 2+ years leading technical delivery for a feature or engineering workstream.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Build production software across backend services, data systems, and user-facing tools.
• Lead a small engineering team, break down work, review approaches, and align delivery with architecture.
• Shape orchestration and human-in-the-loop systems for cyber teams.
• Apply AI, analytics, and decision-support to reduce analyst burden.
• Turn cyber capabilities into prototypes and deployed products.
