Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Cyber Network Analysis Tech to reinforce our security operations in Virginia. You will configure and maintain security tools, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen defenses.

The role requires Security+ and TS/SCI clearance, hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and scripting for automation. You will document procedures, support audits, and contribute to threat intelligence and incident

Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with a related bachelor's degree, or 6 years with HS diploma (Tech 2).
  • 5 years relevant experience with a related bachelor's degree, or 9 years with HS diploma (Tech 3).
  • Security+ certification.
  • Experience configuring and managing security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
  • Programming/scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of network and systems administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends and integrate threat intelligence into SOC operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards and conduct security assessments as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of security configurations, incidents, and procedures to support audits and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Security+ certification.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus solutions.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents swiftly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of network and systems administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
  • Higher‑level cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or equivalent strongly desired.
Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment.
