Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh seeks an internship participant for the Cyber Mission Readiness Directorate within CERT. You will help design learning experiences, connect mission tasks to objectives, and assess hands-on cybersecurity courses, while evaluating AI-assisted curriculum workflows and data-driven effectiveness.

This is a part-time, onsite role starting Fall 2026, with opportunities to continue through Spring 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree program and eligible to work in the US.
• Interest in cybersecurity training, learning science, and assessment design.
• Familiarity with data analysis or scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and align learning objectives with instruction and assessments.
• Instrument learning experiences and analyze learner data (xAPI/cmi5).
• Evaluate AI-assisted curriculum workflows and content quality.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to instructors and developers.
