Job summary

Saliense, based in Alexandria, VA, seeks an experienced IT and security leader to advance a Federal Agency information security program. The role emphasizes implementing RMF/CSF, risk‑based recommendations, and collaboration with system owners and ISOs to secure acquisitions and operations.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT/security, 3+ years supporting federal security initiatives, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of IT and security experience; 3+ years supporting an Federal Agency information security program.
• Experience with FISMA, FedRAMP, FIPS, and NIST SPs.
• Experience using RMF and CSF; perform security assessment and authorization activities.
• Ability to translate system engineer/developer requirements into data‑driven risk recommendations.
• Experience managing relationships with System Owners, ISSOs, AO, and CISO.

Required Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT and security, minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting an Information Security program at a Federal Agency.
• Experience with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), FIPS, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications.
• Experience utilizing the Risk Management Framework, the Cyber Security Framework, executing Security Assessment and Authorization activities, and the ability to translate requirements from system engineers and developers into data-driven and risk-based recommendations.
• Experience working with and managing relationships with System Owners, Information System Security Officers, Authorizing Officials, and Chief Information System Security Officers.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Certifications (preferred): CISSP, CISM, CAP, and relevant GIAC credentials such as GSLC or GSEC, with cloud-security certifications such as AZ-500 or AWS Security
