Job summary

CAC I, on the GMOS contract supporting the Department of State, seeks a Journeyman Cyber/Information Assurance Analyst to guide a high-performing team in delivering IT security services and RMF compliance. The role emphasizes modernizing security posture across enterprise networks and applications.

The incumbent will apply NIST 800-53 controls, perform security assessments, and coordinate with government security personnel to ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 4 years in cybersecurity, information assurance, or related fields.
• Active Top Secret Clearance required for the role.
• Hands-on experience with NIST 800-53, RMF, FISMA, and security authorization.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, cloud security (AWS/Azure).
• Experience using Nessus, Qualys, or ACAS for assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor security measures for networks, systems, and applications per NIST CSF.
• Maintain enterprise service catalog with security classifications, compliance, and risk.
• Provide security guidance for infrastructure designs aligning with DOS standards.
• Ensure security in SDLC with DOS policies and STIGs.
• Configure controls in data centers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms.
• Respond to breaches/incidents with investigations, forensics, containment, and remediation.
