Job summary

CAC I is seeking a Journeyman Cyber/Information Assurance Analyst to plan, implement, and monitor comprehensive security measures across the Department of State IT ecosystem. The role emphasizes security controls, incident response, and RMF/800-53 alignment in a high-stakes environment.

You will collaborate with engineers and government security personnel to ensure secure operations for 350 domestic and international facilities, with opportunities to lead security modernization and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in cybersecurity or related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Strong knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, and 800-53 controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor security measures for networks, systems, and applications.
• Maintain security documentation and risk assessments across DOS IT services.
• Provide security guidance for architecture initiatives and SDLC.
• Implement and validate security controls in data centers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms.
• Coordinate security compliance activities for network engineering and secure connectivity.
