Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Manager to lead client engagements involving cyber incidents, data breaches, and information security events. Focus is on post-incident response, assessing impacted data, evaluating obligations, coordinating remediation, and communicating with stakeholders.

The role requires guiding multidisciplinary teams, delivering executive-level reports, and driving improvements across processes and controls in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, cybersecurity or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in cyber incident response, data breach response, digital forensics, privacy consulting, cybersecurity consulting, risk advisory, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response; able to digest threat intelligence and apply it to client engagements.
• Knowledge of electronic discovery and analysis basics.
• Strong understanding of privacy and data protection regulations across jurisdictions.
• Experience supervising engagement teams and reviewing work products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements in fast-paced environments.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills; ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when needed.
• Access to reliable transportation; driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end breach response engagements after containment and forensics.
• Assess impacted data to determine exposure of sensitive information.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across cybersecurity, privacy, legal, and client stakeholders.
• Advise on notification, regulatory, and reporting obligations.
• Oversee data review, impact assessments, and decision-making for affected individuals and orgs.
• Develop executive reports, client deliverables, regulatory submissions, and board-ready communications.
• Guide remediation planning, process improvements, and control enhancements.
• Manage large multi-workstream projects with tight deadlines.
• Provide strategic counsel to client leadership during incidents.
• Mentor engagement teams to ensure deliverable quality.
