Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Cyber Hunt Analyst to apply cyber security, data science, and DCO knowledge in support of cyber operations. You will hunt threats, generate use cases, and automate capabilities for the platform while collecting customer requirements and training end users.

Responsibilities include threat hunting across Big Data Platforms, presenting findings, and coordinating with customers to maximize satisfaction. Candidates should have 5+ years in cyber security and a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires deep cyber security operations expertise and DoD-customer familiarity.
• Experience presenting analyses to stakeholders with varying data knowledge.
• Proficient in SQL/KQL for data queries and Python for analysis.
• Experience with dashboards/visualizations (Power BI, Superset).
• Cloud familiarity across Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Knowledge of cyber hunt methodologies, SIEMs and SOARs.
• Experience with threat detection signatures and diverse data feeds.
• Ability to read signatures (SNORT, SIGMA, YARA, YAML).
• Strong network traffic analysis skills (Wireshark, TCPDUMP).
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK and incident response methodologies.
• Experience with IDS/IPS tools and applications.
• Strong written skills and public-speaking ability.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and work on-site at Fort Meade.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat-hunting operations on assigned platforms; present findings.
• Collaborate with customers to define requirements and gaps.
• Provide data enrichment and optimization recommendations.
• Perform QA on data residing on the platform.
• Develop and deploy detection signatures; translate results into visuals.
• Support analytic requests including queries, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Maintain situational awareness of emerging cyber threats.
• Provide real-time customer support during business hours.
• Deliver training to end users and document data feeds.
