Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a seasoned cybersecurity professional to validate control effectiveness across enterprise architecture and drive remediation for weaknesses. The role bridges vulnerability management, threat hunting, and cybersecurity engineering, partnering with IT and business owners to ensure architecture-aligned protection.

You will monitor external exposure, review firewall rules, and translate findings into risk themes for leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Progressive cybersecurity experience spanning network security, security engineering, or purple/red-team functions.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and administering firewall rule sets and network segmentation.
• Working knowledge of adversary TTPs and purple-team/adversary-emulation methodology (MITRE ATT&CK).
• Experience with vulnerability management and external attack-surface monitoring tooling.

Responsibilities

• Validate detection and control effectiveness against current adversary TTPs.
• Maintain situational awareness of enterprise network topology and cloud environments.
• Monitor external-facing IP address space for unexpected exposure and align with architecture baselines.
• Review firewall rules on a recurring cadence and assess overly permissive or misaligned rules.
• Partner with vulnerability and patch management to prioritize remediation of hygiene gaps.
• Coordinate with IT and business owners to revalidate business justification behind firewall rules and access paths.
