Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a seasoned Cyber Engineer to design, automate, secure, administer, and sustain mission-critical environments across development, production, cloud, and classified systems.

You will strengthen security posture through vulnerability management, automated pipelines, and container hardening, working with multi-disciplinary teams. In-person support is required as you implement RMF/NIST-aligned controls, perform system hardening, and drive secure software delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Current Security+ Certificate Required.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience with vulnerability management, system hardening, patching, secure configuration, access control, cyber risk tracking, and remediation planning.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments, including system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, and secure configuration activities.
• Experience using scripting, automation, configuration management, or Infrastructure as Code concepts to support cybersecurity and technical operations.
• Understanding of RMF, ATO, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, secure SDLC principles, cybersecurity compliance, and authorization support activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve security automation pipelines in DevSecOps, including CI/CD integration and vulnerability scanning.
• Support vulnerability management across production, development, cloud, containerized, and classified environments.
• Manage and document Plans of Action and Milestones for security findings.
• Develop mitigations for vulnerabilities through configuration changes, hardening, patching, and access control.
• Support secure infrastructure stacks across Linux, Windows Server, virtualization, private cloud, and containerized environments.
• Implement security controls per NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, RMF, ATO, and Zero Trust.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and communicate risks, dependencies, and remediation actions.
