Job summary

Talantir seeks an cybersecurity professional to support development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s cybersecurity program. You will help protect systems and data, align with CMMC and NIST SP 800-171, and monitor networks and endpoints for threats.

The role emphasizes hands-on monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with IT and external auditors to improve resilience and compliance across Windows, Linux, and enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• CompTIA Security+ preferred
• Additional certifications beneficial but not required: CySA+, Network+, CISSP (Associate), CEH, MS Security certs
• Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s cybersecurity program in alignment with CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
• Monitor systems, networks, and endpoints for potential cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, or suspicious activity.
• Support the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and other sensitive company data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security controls.
• Conduct routine security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments.
• Support incident detection, response, and remediation activities.
• Maintain and monitor system logging, event monitoring, and alerting tools.
• Assist with user access management including Active Directory, authentication, and least-privilege access control.
• Help ensure secure configuration and patch management of servers, workstations, and network devices.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations procedures.
• Assist with documentation of cybersecurity controls, system configurations, and compliance artifacts.
• Support employee cybersecurity awareness training and best practices.
• Work with external cybersecurity partners, auditors, and government compliance requirements when needed.
• Provide recommendations for improving the organization’s cybersecurity posture and resilience.
