Job summary

7-Eleven is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in Irving, TX to join the Cyber Defense Operations team. You will work with SMEs on at least one specialization within the Cyber Defense domain and own incident response, forensics, and threat analysis tasks.

Bachelor’s degree required with 3 years of related experience or equivalent; vendor-neutral security certs are encouraged. The role thrives in a fast-paced environment and emphasizes ownership and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 3 years of related experience or higher in info security preferred.
• Vendor-neutral certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH are valued.

Responsibilities

• Incident response including triage, playbooks, investigations, and escalations.
• Forensic and malware analysis to identify root causes and remediation steps.
• Assist with PKI, data loss prevention, and email security initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to define security requirements for end-to-end architectures.
• Support risk assessments and third-party risk reviews as needed.
