Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Cleveland, OH is seeking an intermediate Digital and IT Analyst to support the cyber defense program within Detection & Response / Cyber Security Operations. You will monitor security events, assist with incident investigations, coordinate responses, and help improve security tools and processes.

Collaborate with IT, security, infrastructure, application, identity, vendor, and business teams to strengthen detection capabilities and help protect Parker-Hannifin systems and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related IT experience.
• Working knowledge of IT security, security operations, infrastructure, endpoint, identity, or related technical support processes.
• Familiarity with security monitoring concepts and telemetry sources (auth logs, endpoint events, DNS/proxy logs, email alerts, network events).
• Ability to perform structured analysis, prioritize work by severity, urgency, business impact, and risk, and escalate when needed.
• Ability to document technical findings, actions taken, investigation details, and outcomes clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams, users, and vendors.
• Learning agility, adaptability, problem-solving, and prioritization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform SOC event handling: Monitor, triage, investigate, document, elevate, and coordinate response from detection to resolution.
• Support cyber engineering and security tool operations: Configure, tune, test, maintain, and support SIEM/EDR/SOAR and related tools.
• Contribute to detection and response improvement: Develop detections, playbooks, dashboards, reports, and automation to boost SOC effectiveness.
