Job summary

ShorePoint is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst (TS/SCI) to analyze cyber events and support threat mitigation across enterprise environments. This role operates onsite in Washington, DC, within a cyber operations team and translates complex data into actionable tasks for defense actions.

The position emphasizes collaboration with senior management and client interactions, development of SOPs, and hands-on use of Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, Trellix to safeguard critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience performing the functions described above.
• Applicants must hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from cyber defense tools, including IDS/IPS, firewalls and logs to identify threats.
• Support cyber defense tasks aligned with project objectives.
• Establish goals and plans that align with project objectives.
• Interface with senior management and support client interactions, including negotiations.
• Apply cyber defense knowledge to support decision-making related to project implementation.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with a team lead and team members to support mission objectives.
