Job summary

Leidos is seeking two Cyber Defense Analysts to join the ONI Hopper Global Communications Center in Suitland, MD. These full-time, on-site roles support a 24-hour cyber defense operation, with 1st Shift (0730-1530) and 3rd Shift (2330-0730) Monday–Friday after training.

Initial training will occur on the day shift for up to two months. After training, analysts will rotate to their assigned shifts and may cover additional or alternate shifts as needed to maintain mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field with 4+ years of experience (or Master's with 2+ years).
• Active TS/SCI clearance in DISS with required program access.
• Concentrated experience in the Computer Network Defense (CND) discipline.
• Experience monitoring and investigating alerts from cybersecurity tools (SIEM).
• Experience with NIDPS and host-based tools (Cisco FirePower, Palo Alto NGFW, Trellix ePO, Defender, Tanium).
• Knowledge of scripting and coding languages (Python, PowerShell, C/C++, Java, etc.).
• Knowledge of penetration testing and red team tools (Kali, Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, etc.).
• Knowledge of ticketing systems, report writing, and intelligence dissemination techniques.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.
• Must possess one of the listed active cybersecurity certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor first-line security tool alerts for TS/SCI networks and perform initial analysis.
• Monitor organizational cybersecurity tools for alerts, anomalies, and IOCs.
• Investigate and perform initial technical analysis, escalating to Tier 2 as needed.
• Create, update and manage incident tickets in the ticketing system.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify malicious activity.
• Perform wireless security scans and report findings.
• Correlate alerts across platforms to identify patterns and threats.
• Prepare and deliver operational and situational awareness briefings.
• Support annual cyber defense exercises.
