Pay Range

• $74,000 to $86,000 annual

Required Education/Experience

• A BS or Higher in related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience or 1+ years of relevant experience supporting Federal/state/local law enforcement and intelligence efforts

Qualifications

The successful candidate shall:

• be capable of conducting cryptocurrency tracing across major blockchains using established analytical tools and standard operating procedures, including processing transactions that involve basic obfuscation techniques such as token swaps and simple routing patterns, and escalating complex or high-risk activity to Senior- or Expert-Level Investigators.
• be capable of supporting on-chain pattern and network analysis by preparing address clusters, transaction flow charts, and preliminary relationship mappings related to decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, OTC desks, and suspected laundering networks for review by senior staff.
• possess a working understanding of virtual currency smart contracts, signature approvals, and network layers sufficient to interpret common on-chain events, identify basic indicators of misuse or exploitation, and flag anomalous activity for further analysis.
• be capable of performing foundational financial forensic analysis, including sequencing transactions over time, identifying recurring patterns of deposits and withdrawals, reconciling activity across multiple accounts or wallets, and organizing data from investigative reports, database outputs, and banking records.
• be capable of assisting in the exploitation and triage of financial and blockchain-related data sets by conducting data cleaning, normalization, basic queries, and preliminary trend identification to support targeting and investigative efforts related to cyber-enabled crimes, social-engineering campaigns, and business email compromise schemes.
• be capable of preparing clear, concise analytical workpapers, tables, and summaries to document methods and findings and to support Senior- and Expert-Level Investigators in reporting and case development.
