Summary

NexThreat seeks a Senior Cyber Capability Developer to be a key member of the Watch Floor Team within our SOC. Responsibilities include leading efforts for timely detection and resolution of security incidents, leveraging expertise to enhance SOC capabilities, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement advanced cybersecurity strategies to improve incident detection and response
2. Collaborate with the Watch Floor Team to optimize operational processes
3. Utilize Splunk Enterprise Security and Microsoft Sentinel for security monitoring and analysis
4. Investigate security incidents and provide expert analysis and recommendations
5. Mentor junior team members on cybersecurity best practices
6. Conduct threat assessments and vulnerability analyses
7. Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and integrate findings into practices
8. Contribute to incident response plans and playbooks

Skills, Software, and Certifications

• Required: Expertise in Splunk Enterprise Security
• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred certifications include GIAC GMON, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GCTD, and GCFR.
