Job summary

Tharros is seeking a Cyber Capabilities Trainer to support HQ ACC at Langley AFB, Virginia. The role includes delivering Information Warfare training, developing instructional materials, and coordinating with ACC TRSS to validate training programs.

Candidate must hold TS/SCI clearance and have at least 2 years’ experience in formal IW instructional development, with ISD familiarity and strong MS Office skills. Relocation assistance is available for well qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and at least 2 years' experience developing and delivering formal instructional material for an IW discipline.
  • Formal training or familiarity with Instructional System Design (ISD) or equivalent methodology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (Teams or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks in support of the branch mission and development of training materials related to IW capabilities.
  • Coordinate with ACC TRSS and FTUs to review, validate, and update training programs per policy; report status to leadership.
  • Draft input narratives and related products; complete resource analyses and submit POM inputs on schedule.
  • Attend working groups, disseminate minutes within 3 business days, and track task progress for monthly updates.

Job description

Tharros delivers mission-critical support to Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. This support encompasses a full spectrum of Information Warfare training and operations, Information Systems and Operations, Communications, Administrative Support, and Knowledge-Based Services across air, space, and cyber domains.

We have an immediate opportunity for aCyber Capabilities Trainer performing tasks in support of the A326KN mission. Relocation assistance available to well qualified candidates.

  • Primarily performs tasks in support of branch mission.
  • Perform tasks assigned to branch in support of development, review, preparation, coordination and occasional delivery of training related to IW capabilities or planning to include, but not limited to, courseware, syllabi, Realistic Training Review Board, Training Planning Teams, Instructor Upgrade and Training Task Lists Information Dominance Support.
  • Coordinate with ACC TRSS and subordinate FTUs to help facilitate review, validation, and approval of training programs IAW ACC policy and guidance; track and report status of training programs undergoing approval and/or update to branch leadership.
  • Draft input narratives and other related products as needed (e.g., trifold)
  • Complete resource analysis (to include, but not limited money, personnel, infrastructure) and comparisons to identify and recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate with resource branch to validate and submit POM inputs IAW established timelines; after submission, provide weekly status update of POM inputs to branch.
  • Assist with developing related branch inputs to division annual spend plan, to include but not limited to determining specific dollar amounts.
  • Facilitate and/or attend working groups as needed and disseminate minutes and/or notes within 3 business days; track progress of tasks resulting from event and provide monthly updates at a minimum.
  • Possess TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Knowledge of and at least 2 years' experience developing and delivering formal instructional material within an AETC or ACC (or service equivalent) Formal Training Unit servicing an IW related discipline. Formal training or familiarity (via formal higher education) with Instructional System Design (ISD) or equivalent formal instructional development methodology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
