Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Military Family Life Counselor to provide Child and Youth Behavioral Counseling services to children of military service members and their families. This hybrid role includes non-medical counseling, training presentations, and collaboration with schools.

Candidates should have a Master's degree in a mental health related field, valid independent counseling license, and two years of clinical experience. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
• Valid unrestricted independent counseling license.
• Minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to eligible children and youth.
• Support staff within DoDEA and community schools.
• Conduct health and wellness presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality while entering counselor activity data.
• Participate in regular training and Quality Improvement initiatives.
