Job description

Who You Are...

As a Production Worker in our precast construction division, you will perform various tasks involved in producing LB Foster products. You will follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure efficient and safe production. Training will be provided to work in all production areas.

This Position...

Involves working with a production team to manufacture precast products and buildings. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Following all safe work practices and procedures.
  2. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  3. Carrying out verbal and written instructions from the Foreman.
  4. Manufacturing precast concrete products to ensure timely shipment.
  5. Lifting raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or with hoists.
  6. Completing pre-operation equipment inspections and reporting issues.
  7. Setting up, adjusting, and operating basic machine tools.
  8. Reading and interpreting work instructions and executing accordingly.
  9. Performing other duties as assigned.

What You Need...

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a production environment (preferred).
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 40 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
  • Average proficiency in mathematics.
  • Good visual acuity.
