About the Role

As a Bookkeeper, you'll work directly with an Accounting Manager, supporting UK clients and ensuring smooth financial operations. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services and helping our clients succeed.

Mission: Empower clients with accurate, timely financial insights—streamline processes, strengthen relationships, and drive business success with Sleek.

Outcomes:

  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in Xero and reconciled regularly, maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Develop trusted relationships with your portfolio of clients, providing clear financial insights and addressing queries within 24 hours.
  • Support the accounting team to complete month-end processes within 5 working days, ensuring reports are accurate and compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes, increasing efficiency.
  • Support timely submission of tax returns, payroll, and statutory filings, ensuring full compliance with UK standards.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience working with UK-based accountants.
  • Proficiency with XERO (preferably Certified User) is required.
  • Computer savvy with Excel and Word skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Dext, Hubdoc, Zendesk is desirable.
Interview Process

The process includes:

  • A 30-45 minute video call with HR to discuss your experience and expectations.
  • Project or case study or competency-based interview to assess skills and experience.
  • A 60-minute behavioral interview with HR or leadership to explore work situations.
  • Reference checks with two previous managers.
