About The Role

As a remote Stylist, you will be responsible for driving retention through personalized styling interactions with our customers to help them look and feel their best. In this role, you will give expert styling advice to our members and support them in putting together outfits for both everyday and special occasions. You will need a keen eye for style, stay updated with the latest trends, and possess excellent customer service skills. Building trusting relationships with customers and helping them feel confident is key. This role impacts customer experience, retention, and loyalty to Rent the Runway. It is a full-time opportunity, with potential for part-time virtual styling work in the future.

Role Details

This is a full-time, remote role working weekend hours, typically Saturday through Wednesday, 9am-6pm. Candidates must reside permanently in one of the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia. International remote work is not permitted.

What You’ll Do

• Style customers via Zoom or other channels for upcoming events, including outfit building and fashion advice.
• Develop personal relationships through regular communication, referencing order and return history to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach, fostering brand loyalty through relationship-based selling, re-engaging lapsed clients, and increasing individual spend.
• Proactively suggest ideas to improve the client experience and drive retention.
• Represent Rent the Runway proudly, promoting core values to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition.
• Stay informed about all RTR products, including fit, styles, and inventory.
• Share customer feedback with team members to improve service quality.
• Conduct pre-appointment and post-appointment outreach to curate selections suited to client preferences and build ongoing relationships.
• Follow brand standards during styling appointments.

About You / Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience as a stylist, personal shopper, or similar role, virtual or in-person.
• Preferred customer service experience.
• Passion for fashion with extensive knowledge of luxury fashion and styling.
• Excellent communication skills, especially over Zoom.
• Strong understanding of apparel construction, fit, and size.
• Confident and proactive problem solver.
• Customer-obsessed with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
• Technical skills with G Suite, Chrome, Slack, Zoom, etc.
• Self-starter with ability to multitask in a fast-paced remote environment.

Additional Requirements

• Computer proficiency (G Suite, Chrome, Slack, Zoom).
• High-speed internet (minimum 10 Mbps), provided by cable or fiber. RTR will provide equipment.
