About The Role

As a remote Stylist at Rent the Runway, you will play a crucial role in driving customer retention through personalized styling services. You will provide expert fashion advice, help customers select outfits for both everyday wear and special events, and ensure a high-quality experience that encourages customer loyalty. Your work will directly impact the customer experience, fostering trust and creating lasting relationships. The role involves styling customers via Zoom or other communication platforms, managing client relationships, and maintaining knowledge of RTR’s inventory and fashion trends. This is a full-time, remote role with a schedule of Saturday through Wednesday, 9 am - 6 pm, available to permanent residents in select states.

Responsibilities

1. Provide personalized styling services to customers via Zoom or their preferred channel, assisting with outfit selection for both everyday and special occasion events.
2. Develop and maintain one-on-one client relationships through regular communication, referring to customer order and return history to enhance the experience.
3. Drive customer retention and sales through relationship-based selling techniques and re-engaging lapsed clients.
4. Proactively suggest new ideas to improve the client experience and foster brand loyalty.
5. Serve as a Rent the Runway brand ambassador, promoting core values and increasing customer acquisition.
6. Stay knowledgeable about Rent the Runway’s products, including fit, style, and inventory.
7. Provide pre- and post-appointment outreach to ensure customers are satisfied with their selections and to build long-term client relationships.
8. Follow brand standards for Zoom styling appointments.

Qualifications

1. At least 3+ years of experience as a virtual or in-person stylist, personal shopper, or similar role.
2. Preferred experience in customer service.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in luxury fashion, with a passion for styling customers.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport over Zoom.
5. Proficiency in apparel construction, fabrics, size, and fit.
6. Problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
7. High technical aptitude and proficiency with tools such as G Suite, Google Chrome Browser, Slack, and Zoom.
8. Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced remote sales environment.
9. High-speed internet connection (10Mbps or higher) for remote work.

Compensation

The anticipated pay for this position is $18 to $22 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Rent the Runway will provide the necessary equipment, including a laptop and headset.
