Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Commissioning Program Engineer (CxE) to own the commissioning lifecycle across a regional portfolio. You will enforce standards, drive third-party CxAs, and coordinate with construction/design teams to ensure on-time, defect-free turnovers to Operations.

This owner’s-representative role requires leadership across multiple projects, governance of ISTs, and collaboration with regional teams. 20% travel may be required to support sites and Denver Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline or equivalent data center experience.
• 8+ years in commissioning, MEP engineering, or mission-critical construction, including 5+ years delivering data center projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and/or leading commissioning teams.

Responsibilities

• Enforce commissioning standards, templates, and processes.
• Coordinate with leadership to refine corporate standards and processes.
• Own and oversee the L2–L5 commissioning lifecycle framework for the campus.
• Develop and execute contracts for Cx services, from RFP to turnover.
• Integrate with Prime’s Quality department to support assurance and consistency.
• Travel to other campuses and Denver Office as needed.
• Establish and track program KPIs and report to leadership.
• Oversee testing of MEP systems and IST, including UPS/generator/ETC.
