Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) for USA-based data centers. The role focuses on commissioning and testing high- and low-voltage power systems, HVAC, BMS, EPMS, and related facilities, with potential overnight and weekend shifts.

You will review design documents, perform factory tests, coordinate with suppliers and third-party vendors, develop test scripts, and deliver weekly reports. Travel up to 80% and relocation to hubs may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with commissioning and testing of high-voltage and low-voltage power systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC, BMS, EPMS, and related systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to convey lessons learned and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support suppliers, contractors, and other parties in ordering and providing various systems (MV/LV power, Producers, UPS, HVAC, Cold water, BMS, EPMS).
• Provide testing and technical support of electrical and infrastructure components of AWS data centers.
• Review design documents, conduct Factory Tests, and manage third-party vendors in pre-construction, in-service, and on-site inspections.
• Plan, develop test scripts, and design project plans.
• Conduct facility testing (FWT), perform system testing, and integrate processes.
• Monitor activities to ensure environmental, quality, and safety compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly reports on ongoing work and lessons learned.
• Provide multidisciplinary contributions and collaborate on program improvements.
