Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support operations in Midlothian, TX. You will perform visual and nondestructive examinations of pressure retaining equipment in accordance with ASME standards.

Submit technically accurate reports, provide recommendations for repair or alteration, and contribute to welding/metallurgical decisions. Travel may be required as part of project work.

Qualifications

• Certification as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is required.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
• API qualifications are a plus.
• In-depth working knowledge of CWI and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per CWI standards and ASME.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration for safe operation.
• Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide technical guidance on NDE techniques and procedures.
• Comply with Acuren and client safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
