Job summary

TIR is seeking a Dual Certified inspector (AWS CWI and NACE II or higher) for a Boise, ID project starting 8/31. The role requires interpreting standards, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with contractors and staff on and off the right-of-way.

Responsibilities include enforcing welding procedures, reviewing radiographs, maintaining documentation, and upholding safety and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on quality control for pipelines and related

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required.
• NACE CIP Level I or higher required.
• Familiar with API 1104 and ASME welding codes.
• Experience reviewing welding procedures and radiographs.
• Knowledge of pipeline construction QC practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain QA/QC standards and enforce welding procedures and specs.
• Review radiographs and verify weld qualification per project requirements.
• Ensure welds and procedures comply with codes, specs, and client needs.
• Coordinate documentation such as MTRs, red lines, and as-builts.
• Communicate with contractor reps and inform Senior Welding Inspector of issues.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and OSHA/DOT regulations met.
