General Responsibilities:

Perform inspections on large, complex, and diverse projects requiring expertise and knowledge in multiple areas of construction inspection and oversee the work of other testing and inspection personnel.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection according to training and specified procedures to ensure work meets contract specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.
• Analyze data to verify accuracy before submitting to the Project Manager.
• Communicate findings to the Project Manager and other personnel.
• Interact with clients and site personnel to resolve issues.
• Assist in developing scope for testing and inspection services.
• Coordinate pre-dispatch activities with relevant managers.
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration.
• Lead and coordinate activities of lower-level inspectors.
• Follow safety protocols and report safety issues.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violations.

Required Certifications

• Completion of internal safety certifications.
• At least four certifications from the following areas: NICET Level II, ICC, AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, or equivalent.
• Additional certifications in ACI, radiation safety, or nuclear density gauge operation are preferred.
