Demanes Animal Hospital in Peoria, IL is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our growing two-doctor practice. The role offers a supportive team, diverse cases including birds and small mammals, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with an active state license.
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience as a technician.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients using diagnostic sample collection, venipuncture, radiography, dental radiology, and prophylactic cleanings.
• Assist veterinarians during preventative, injury, and illness visits.
• Assist with procedures and surgeries, including anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Obtain health history and document accurately in the medical record.
• Mentor team members and support continuous learning.
