Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician program required.
Must have passed the VTNE and hold an active RVT license.
Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
Communicate medical information to pet owners clearly.
Implement prescribed treatments and oversee patient care.
Perform advanced diagnostic procedures like radiography.
Induce and monitor patients under anesthesia.
Place IV catheters and administer medications as needed.
Conduct patient assessments and triage cases.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
Support clinic operations and emergency response readiness.
Mentor and guide veterinary assistants as appropriate.
