Prairie Animal Hospital in North Prairie, Wisconsin is hiring a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our compassionate, collaborative team. The position offers hourly pay of $22.00–$26.00 based on experience and credentials, plus a $500 sign-on bonus.

We value technical skills, patient care, and ongoing learning as we provide both traditional and holistic medicine. The hospital has six doctors and a supportive staff, with rotating Saturdays and no Sundays.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong technical and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Performing venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and sample collection.
• Preparing surgical patients and monitoring anesthesia before, during, and after procedures.
• Performing and assisting with dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and dental procedures.
• Taking high-quality digital and dental radiographs.
• Administering medications and treatments as directed.
• Educating clients on pet health, medications, and post-treatment care.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.
• Collaborating with a supportive veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
