Job summary

Alexandria Veterinary Clinic in Minnesota seeks an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team, supporting outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, client-focused, and capable of balancing exam room care with hands-on procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care and client communication.

Qualifications

• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in Minnesota
• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience required
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing or out-of-state license eligible to transfer are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assist in surgery
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
