Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Chicago, IL. This CVOR travel assignment runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week and days shift.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH. You will be prepared to support the surgical team before, during and after procedures in a fast-paced OR setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Surgical/OR RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care before, during and after surgery.
• Assist during procedures and monitor patient vitals.
• Maintain aseptic technique and coordinate OR equipment and supplies.
• Handle specimens properly and ensure sterility.
