Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee patient care throughout the surgical process at Springfield facilities. Responsibilities include room preparation, patient transfer to the OR, accurate intra-operative charting, and medication administration to the sterile field.

The role requires collaboration with surgical teams and ongoing family communication about case progress. The RN must be actively licensed in Illinois with current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license active in the State of Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.
• Diploma of Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR room and bring the patient into the OR.
• Position the patient and maintain intra-operative charting.
• Administer meds to the sterile field and track supplies as needed.
• Serve as liaison between family and surgeon, providing updates every few hours.
• Manage 1–5 surgeries per day depending on length and scheduling.
