Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is hiring an experienced RN First Assistant to join its perioperative services. The role involves delivering safe, patient-family centered care in the OR and related areas, acting as an RN first assistant during surgery, and serving as an RN circulator as needed.

Requirements include graduation from a nursing program, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, and 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience or 3 years in CVOR as RN/Surgical Tech.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (Required).
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program including didactic and clinical components (Required).
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience (Required).
• 3 years minimum experience as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if working in the CVOR (Required).
• RN licensure in Georgia and CNOR/CRNFA if applicable (Required).
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative services.
• Function as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Serve as an RN circulator when required.
• Deliver care in accordance with scope of practice, credentials, privileges, and competency verification.
