Job summary

HSHS St. Elizabeth's is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team in O'Fallon, IL. The role requires RN licensure in the state, BLS, and strong collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will support patients and families, educate on conditions and medications, and help optimize care outcomes in a high-acuity setting. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available and education assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in state of practice required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate care and emotional support to patients, families and friends.
• Promotes and restores patients' health by nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educates patients and families about their condition, medications, and self-care.
• Ensures quality of care by adhering to standards and evaluating outcomes against goals.
• Supervises assigned team members and supports unit operations.
• Promotes patient independence by setting care goals and teaching self-care.
