Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients in a high-acuity CVOR. You will circulate and scrub in, manage invasive lines, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to ensure safe outcomes.

The role emphasizes adherence to sterile technique, patient safety, and rapid-response readiness, with mentoring support and involvement in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and strong perioperative/cardiac experience.
• Competence with invasive line care and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Solid understanding of CVOR protocols, aseptic technique, and patient safety practices.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity environment and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and professionalism in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub in the CVOR, delivering direct perioperative support for cardiovascular procedures.
• Manage invasive lines and perform/assist with hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to support safe surgical outcomes.
• Follow evidence-based protocols while maintaining sterility, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Respond effectively to urgent or rapid response situations.
• Support mentoring and contribute to continuous quality improvement activities.
• Promote exceptional patient outcomes through coordinated care and documentation.
