Job summary

East Jefferson General Hospital, part of LCMC Health, is expanding its Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) program and seeks experienced OR nurses to join a dynamic, high-acuity team.

The CVOR RN will function as the circulator across cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and transplant procedures, ensuring patient safety and coordinated perioperative care from arrival through closure. Two years OR experience and BLS/ACLS are required; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum OR nursing experience.
• CVOR experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as the circulator for a variety of complex surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety.
• Maintains a sterile environment and coordinates multidisciplinary communication.
• Supports efficient surgical workflow from patient arrival to procedure completion.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia, perfusionists, and perioperative team.
