Job summary

CHI Health in Omaha, NE is seeking a Circulating Registered Nurse for our CVOR team. The role focuses on safe, efficient patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures, including room setup, patient positioning, vital signs monitoring, and instrument handling.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 5 months. You will work closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists, contributing to quality improvement and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license for practice in the state.
• ACLS certification required within 5 months.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and functioning.
• Assisting the surgical team with patient preparation and positioning, maintaining a safe environment.
• Meticulously monitoring the patient's vital signs during procedures and reporting changes promptly.
• Maintaining a sterile field and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and providing proactive assistance for a smooth workflow.
• Documenting all relevant patient information, procedures, and observations.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance skills.
• Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses.
• Demonstrating proficiency with CVOR equipment and technologies.
