Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando Cardiovascular Surgery is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OR/CVICU track on a full-time, day shift. The role involves managing peri-operative and post-operative cardiothoracic care, and working within a nationally recognized program.

Responsibilities include providing individualized care plans, administering medications safely, and educating patients and families. A strong background in cardiothoracic care and ACLS/BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license and ACLS & BLS certifications are required.
• Experience in CVICU or CVOR is preferred.
• Knowledge of peri-operative or post-operative care for cardiothoracic patients is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans with specific goals and interventions based on assessment data.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary and documenting progress.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to empower them in managing their health.
