Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to support a high-volume surgical program in a 12-OR suite on a 330-bed campus that houses Florida’s largest open-heart program and a da Vinci Xi robotic hub.

• Utilize the nursing process to make accurate nursing assessments, diagnoses, and formulated care plans.

• Circulate and scrub complex surgical cases, ensuring standard-of-care perioperative practices.
• Maintain agile readiness for after-hours and weekend emergency surgical cases via the scheduled on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Experience: 1 year of Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) or Critical Care experience is preferred.
• Preferred Specialties: Prior Circulating and CVOR RN experience is highly preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License (or valid Compact multi-state license).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
