Job summary
SSM Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team at Saint Louis University Hospital in Missouri. Full-time day shifts with on-call requirements; strong clinical judgment, leadership, and collaboration with physicians and staff are essential.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
- One year advanced surgical experience preferred.
- Active RN license in required states (IL/MO/OK/WI as applicable).
- BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Provides perioperative nursing care and preoperative assessment.
- Circulates independently on complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases.
- Coordinates care with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Mentors less-experienced nurses and technicians.
- Maintains current knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic nursing techniques.
