Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, seeks a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) to support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in the CathLab, EP Lab, and Hybrid OR.

In this role you will scrub, circulate, and record, rotating through responsibilities with state-of-the-art cardiovascular technology to deliver safe, efficient patient care and advance clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Education: associate or bachelor’s degree in health science (including cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology or respiratory therapy).
• Experience: Level II 1 year; Level III 2 years ladder requirements; provisional/ external hires must meet ladder within 12 months.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support; Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document care of cardiovascular invasive labs patients per physician orders and policies.
• Use clinical judgment to plan patient care based on diagnosis, needs and response to care.
• Maintain organized, timely care; ensure data accuracy and report variances to provider.
