Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a CVICU travel nurse RN for a travel assignment in New Brunswick, NJ. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and includes a 13-week duration with 36 hours per week, night shifts, and travel reimbursement as part of the package.

As a CVICU Travel Nurse, you will assist in post-op cardiovascular care, manage medications, and collaborate with a diverse team. The assignment emphasizes fast-paced, critical care environments and patient education for ongoing home

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be available for emergencies to perform CPR and operate defibrillators.
• Educate patients and families on recovery at home.
