Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse CVICU for a travel nursing job in Redding, California. The position requires 13 weeks of assignment, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts in the CVICU.

Applicants should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and relevant CVICU certifications. Immediate start dates are available with a hospital team dedicated to cardiovascular critical care.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
